Five Tips to Lose Belly Fat and Get Ripped Abs or Bikini Abs

If you want sexy Britney Spears'abs you have to work and be dedicated to your abs diet plan and workout routine. Having great abs is not easy and if you are afraid of work, don't bother reading this. It is true what they say, tight abs are made in the kitchen. You cannot eat junk and still have ripped abs. It's just not possible. Sorry.

So if you are willing to put forth the work and it is a GREAT deal of work, then you will have sexy abs. Follow this free abs diet and free exercise plan to achieve the body of your dreams.

Follow a No Carb Diet

If you want a sexy, toned body, you can kiss processed carbohydrates good bye. Processed carbs are foods created by man - anything that comes in a package, has chemicals, dyes, and a long shelf life is usually suspect. Bread, sugar, juice, cookies, cake, ice cream, salad dressing, ketchup, soda, cereal, crackers, chips, candy bars, donuts, etc. These things are off limits.

These foods make you FAT! They promote the use of insulin. Insulin stops fat breakdown and promotes fat storage. Also, many of the foods that come in packages contain a great deal of sodium that causes your body to hold onto water, which makes you weigh more.

Just give the food up. The first two to three days will be difficult. You may feel headaches or even withdrawl symptoms, but drink plenty of water and ride it out. Be strong. You can do it.

Instead of all that junk, eat salads with olive oil or vinegar dressing. Salads and vegetables are great carbs to eat - they help keep your system regular and prevent you from feeling hungry as they take longer to process than junk food.

Eat protein - grilled chicken, tuna, steak, or eggs. These foods will help build muscle, while not feeding fat cells. Eat every three hours or more often. These foods will not hurt your goal. But do make sure you stay away from dressing, gravy, or sauces as they can have sugar in them.

Within the first ten to fourteen days of this meal plan, you should be able to lose ten to fifteen pounds of ugly fat especially off your mid-section.

Drink Water

Drink at least two liters of water per day to create the total transformation program. Having a regular amount of water come into your body, will help your body relax and let go of all the water weight it is holding onto.

Drinking water helps your body process the food you eat and helps flush out waste and toxins. Your skin also looks great.

Complete a Hardcore Treadmill Workout

Cardio is king when it comes to burning off belly fat! Get on the treadmill, warm up for three to five minutes. Then start a brisk walk for a minute. Go to a slow jog for a minute. Go faster for another minute. Run for the following minute. Sprint for the last minute. Then start again with the brisk walk to the slow jog, eventually leading up to the sprint.

This method is called high intensity interval training or hardcore treadmill workout. This calorie blasting, cardio workout will shave all the fat off your belly in no time at all. Perform this for at least thirty minutes every other day. Tweak or play with the intervals. Make sure you are working out at a sweat producing capacity.

Cardio can also be done on the track, stadium stairs, bicycle, eliptical machine, punching the heavy bag, etc. Make sure you stay on the interval theme however.

Lift Weights

Muscle boosts metabolism. Muscle burns more calories than fat. Muscle looks so much better than flab.

Lift weights on the days you don't do cardio. Lifting weights burns many calories and after the workout session, it continues to burn calories.

Concentrate on one section of your body per day. One day do the upper body. The next time you train do the lower body. Do several sets, until your muscles burn. The first set, use a weight range that is comfortable, but you still feel like your getting a workout - do at least twenty repetitions. The second set, add five pounds of weight and do at least 15 repetitions. The last set, add five pounds and try to do at least 10 repetitions.

Do a Variety of Ab Exercises

Yes, 100 crunches per day is wonderful. However, try to implement other ab producing exercises. For example the plank for 90 seconds will make your tummy flat in no time. Or leg lifts will strengthen the lower abs. Bicycles give an overall tone to your midsection.

Resources such as youtube or various internet sites will demonstrate several ab workouts that you can implement. Do several and different varieties every day. Change causes muscle confusion which leads to muscle growth. Once we remove the belly fat, we want to see nicely toned abs.
