Over the years it seems like our energy levels just slump, and we desperately seek an energy transformation. Something that will pick us up and breathe life back into our listless bodies. Eating a cleansing diet can definitely rid you of those energy sucking toxins. A diet consistent of fruits, vegetables, and water will add so much life. These fibrous foods will clean out your colon and provide you with nutrients to carry on throughout the day.

Coffee with loads of sugar or high calorie carbohydrates - donuts, muffins, etc - do provide an initial burst or energy that is short lived and just feels so much different than energy coming from nutritious vegetables and fruits. Do an experiment. Try one day to consume just fruits and vegetables and nothing else. The next day, eat like you normally would. The difference is remarkable. Those on a raw food diet have noticed their energy levels soar. Man made food does not have the same effect. So eat from the earth, not the machine.

Next, try eating every two to three hours. This keeps insulin levels stable. Eating in this manner will not allow for your blood sugar levels to drop, but rather they stay relatively the same. This factor speeds up your metabolism and has your energy levels stable as there is a constant source of fuel.

Exercise. Daily exercise is also a metabolism booster. Daily exercise awakens muscles and keeps your heart working at optimum. Your lung capacity increases and you body becomes more efficient. Daily exercise awakens lazy muscles and sluggish joints. In the beginning, it can be difficult to commit to this habit, but after a while your body begins to crave the challenge of exercise. Without exercise, your body ages quickly and becomes sluggish. Exercise revitalizes you and even sharpens your mind - as it is a muscle. Lastly meditate. Make meditation the last thing you do before you go to sleep and the first you do in the morning. Meditation clears your mind of unnecessary stress. Focus on taking deep breaths and expanding your lungs. Let the negativity go and see how much more energy you will have.
