Protein Diet Day #2

It is getting a little easier to forgo carbs. I am continuing on my no carb or rather no processed carbohydrates, high protein diet. I hope all the sacrifice pays off. And it is a sacrifice. I love bread, cookies, goodies, etc. The good stuff. It's amazing that I used to have these things on a daily basis. No wonder I have a little tummy.

Water is really helping me. Water will flush out ketones from the body. Ketones are the byproduct of protein metabolism. Often times when we go on high protein diets, we might get headaches or feel irritable. Water helps alleviate these symptoms. Sometimes, these symptoms are related to withdrawl from processed, sugary foods.

So drink at least two liters of water per day. Hopefully the symptoms will disappear quickly.
