Weight Loss PROGRAM - p90x review
I love Tony Horton's p90x program. Its awesome. I don't love it as much as I love the Body For Life program, but hey.
The p90x program is generally for people that already workout on a consistent basis. Its for those of you that have just a little belly, or a little extra fat dangling around the back of your arms or thighs.
I bought the p90x program because it was marketed really well. Who hasn't seen the informercial? Those results are fantastic. But do you see anyone on there that was morbidly obese to begin with, no. So this is the ultimate tone up workout.
Essentially, there are several DVDs and you do them in different sequences - I guess for the purposes of muscle confusion. They are grueling - six days a week workouts. But they are fun. When was the last time you did a pull up? Resistance bands help create those long lean muscles as well.
After a couple weeks, you start feeling energized. Sleep gets even better - you sleep through the night - more sound and deeply. Muscles start peaking through. This program is a great stress reliever also - after you get in a tif' with your boss, lover, parents etc. put on a grueling work out and work it out.
By the way, in order to see results, you can't half-ass it. Excuse the language, but if you do it half-ass - you get half-ass results. So do the nutritional program that comes along with the program. Do the exercises with your heart in it, aiming for exhaustion and watch the success.
If you want to lose fat even faster, I would 2 a day. Meaning do whatever workout is scheduled in the morning and follow up with a cardio workout in the evening - preferrably after dinner, just before bedtime. This will accelerate your fat loss - I promise.
Overall the p90x program is a good investment if you do the program with your full heart into it. If you are not the exercise tape person- don't buy it as it will sit on your shelf and collect dust. Right?
