What Causes Belly Fat

The basic reason you have a big belly is because you are eating more calories than you need. You are probablly eating junk food - cake, cookies, candy and ice cream. You are probablly not drinking enough water, but rather drinking soda and alcohol.

In addition, you probablly live a sedentary life that lacks fat burning exercise. And most likely you have more fat mass than muscle. So although you may be skinny or fit everywhere else on your body and yet still have a belly - you may still have more fat than muscle.

What to do about your fat belly?

  • Don't eat simple carbs anymore.
  • Eat more vegetables and fruit.
  • Drink two liters of water per day.
  • Eat every two to three hours.
  • Engage in high intensity interval training.
  • Lift muscle building weights every other day.
